Annual Meeting for EBT Clinicians & Researchers
March 22-23, 2013
Cavallo Point Hotel and Conference Center Sausalito, California
Join us for two days of training and support with EBT clinicians and researchers. The venue for the annual meeting is a beautiful setting that inspires and excites. Our emphasis will be on experiential learning, collaborative workshops and emerging science and practice. The annual meeting is open to Certified Emotional Brain Training Providers and to health professionals and researchers who are new to EBT.
The EBT Annual Meeting is an important time for clinicians and researchers to exchange ideas, develop relationships and share their passion for EBT and this new paradigm in health care. Our goal is for the method to be evidence-based by 2020, so the conference has been developed to stimulate, inspire and train professionals in concepts and skills through a variety of training experiences:
- Research Progress: Methods and results from the previous year's research, and a discussion of how these findings inform research and clinical practice.
- Science Updates: Scientific updates with an emphasis on interaction among EBT Providers, discussing clinical implications and controversies. Speak with core faculty from certification courses.
- Insights and Innovations from EBT Providers: Brief presentations from EBT Providers about novel uses of EBT for prevention and EBT education of high-risk populations.
- EBT Clinical Skills Intensives: Small cluster group working sessions for specific clinical techniques with support from an EBT Master Trainer. Strengthen your clinical skills and deepen your professional relationships.
- Practice-based Research Group Sessions: Choose two of four interest groups to share perspectives and contribute to practice-based research directly or indirectly: obesity, depression, PTSD or pregnancy.
- Natural Pleasures Workshops: Presentations on the evidence base of innovative strategies, brain-based rationale for use, experiential learning and micro-skills to integrate into your group training.

This is a wonderful opportunity to experience a unique venue that is at the site of the annual meeting at rates that are comparable to ordinary accommodations that are at a distance from the annual meeting site.
All conference attendance includes the Cavallo Point Meeting Meal Package as this the sumptuous meals are served buffet style, and they are arranged for as part of the meeting contract. The menus accommodate a wide range of food preferences and needs, including both vegan and hunter-gatherer. The meal package is provided at a rate that is reduced compared to the rates normally charged at the facility for individual purchase. If you choose not to partake of the Cavallo Point Buffet, there will be no credit or refund for meals that were not consumed. The meals at Cavallo Point are both bountiful and delicious.
The Cavallo Point Lodge special rates have been granted to the Institute because of the relationship between stress in the brain and environmental concerns.
